awards/recognition
Missouri FBLA recognizes the contributions of members, advisers, businesspersons, and educators through a variety of awards and recognition programs.
chapter of the year
The Missouri FBLA Chapter of the Year (COTY) program is designed to encourage and recognize chapters that participate at the local, state, and national level activities. Each activity is designed around the mission and goals of the association and worth a specific number of points. Chapters who achieve a certain number of points receive prizes and recognition at their division’s respective State Leadership Conference.
Chapters in Missouri FBLA who complete COTY and submit a Local Chapter Annual Business Report are automatically eligible for the Gold Seal Chapter Award of Merit, which recognizes the top 15% of chapters.

Activities have been aligned to allow chapters to complete both the Missouri COTY and the National Champion Chapter for HS and MERIT program for MS. While the Missouri COTY is still due in February, the National Champion Chapter requires activities to be completed and uploaded several times throughout the year. All National activities are integrated into Missouri’s COTY.

community service awards
Missouri FBLA provides members in all three divisions with countless ways to get involved in community service. The Community Service Awards (CSA) were established to recognize the FBLA members who go above and beyond in their efforts in community service at the state level.
Deadline: February 19, 2025
Step 1: Download the Service Log spreadsheet from this link
Step 2: Provide your community service and record the hours in the Service Log spreadsheet
Step 3: Upload the Service Log spreadsheet for recognition at this link
The Community Service Awards are only recognized at the state level and DO NOT advance to the national level.
Levels of Achievement
CSA Community – 50 Service Hours
One good way to display your commitment to community service is by participating in the efforts of FBLA’s national service partner, the March of Dimes. However, CSAs do not have to be FBLA specific. Members are welcome to include any of their community service completed outside of the organization (i.e. service to church, National Honor Society, or FBLA Chapter Community Service).
It is important to note that CSAs do not span across each division as a member expands their journey with FBLA. Awards will be for hours completed as a member of middle school division, high school division, & collegiate division separately. For example, hours completed as a middle school member DO NOT count toward hours to be shared as a high school member. FBLA members can complete all three levels of the CSAs during each division.
